Valentine Make 'n' Take ...

...Thursday, Feb.7 at 8pm mst at Lil' Scrappers. Check here for a materials list and plan to join the fun.

Want to find out when February 8pm mst is for you? Mst (Mountain Standard Time ) is the time zone in Alberta, as well as many other places, so I used Alberta as the place the event is taking place and set up a page where you can go and find out how that translates into your time. Just click here and you will be taken to a page where you can choose the place where you are from a dropdown menu and automatically be shown the time conversion for your area. If you have any trouble, leave a comment and I'll try to help.

Cootie Catcher Treat Holder

My DD loves making cootie catchers, you know those folded paper things that you use to ask your friends questions and then fold in and out to find the answers. As soon as I saw that they could be used to make really cute treat holders I had to show her. I found out about them in Kelly's blog post and had to go search for more info. I discovered it was based on a Martha Stewart post. The Splitcoast Stampers have a whole gallery full of different ones for different occassions. This is a really neat, simple to make papercraft. If you decide to make one, please let me know so I can check it out. I'm thinking DD is going to making more than one of these.

New Board - Lil' Scrappers

Looking for a new scrapbooking board to join? Check out Lil' Scrappers, the online forum for the store. I just joined it this week. I was drawn to it because it is a Canadian board and because I knew some of the members from other boards. If you decide to check it out be sure to let me know. They have a push on to get new members and you get points for every new member that you get to join. I'd love it if you would acknowledge me as a referral in your introduction post if you decide to join.

Neat Valentine project!

Just discovered this video that shows you how to make a really neat Valentine's Day project. It can be used to make a card or as part of a layout. Very, very, cute! I don't have the stamp that they used for it but I'm thinking you cuold make your own heart shape without the stamp, and it would still be neat even without the embossing.

Challenges up...

...for this week's Friday Night Crop at ScrapbookingFanatics. Be sure to check it out.

I didn't realize it had been such a long time since I last posted here. I'm lost without my camera. I've lost my desire to scrap and to post here. :( There have been many crops lately that I would love to participate in but it is not as much fun when you can't post your creations. Oh well, I'll keep my eye out for crops and special contests anyway and post about them here to hopefully inspire someone else to take part. Someday, hopefully, I will have a camera again and take part myself again.

The fun has started...

...at Creative Crafts and Stickers! They are throwing a 3rd Birthday/Good-bye Bash. They throw the best parties! Already there's a progressive challenge on the go, and really neat Mini-Desk Calendar make'n'take and 6 other challenges, as well as a fun game of Battleship and a word scramble. If you're looking for something to do, check it out.

I actually managed to do one of the challenges tonight! I made a kickstand card. I've been wanting to make one so I set to work on it as soon as I got a chance. Hopefully I'll post a picture and some instructions before too long.

iScrap Blog Challenge

This may be the only challenge I'll manage to complete from the crop. :)

1. Five things I can’t scrapbook without:
- time to myself :) that's why I haven't done any scrapping for a while
- pictures - another reason why I haven't scrapped lately. I have no camera to take pictures
- computer - I use my computer for inspiration and also for planning
- printer - I use my printer in some way on most all my layouts - journaling, elements, etc
- inspiration, usually in the form of challenges

2. Five places I have traveled to most recently
- the bathroom
- the living room
- the rec room
- the kitchen
- the local coffeeshop - DH and I actually went out tonight!
:) I know these are probably not the answers expected but I really haven't been anywhere, hardly even out of the house, for a long, long time.

3. Five things I watch on TV
- NCIS
- CSI - either one
- The Young and the Restless - it's my one and only vice :)
- Little Bear
- Go, Deigo, Go
Those last two are thanks to little one. :) This was a really hard one for me to answer because I really don't watch much TV.

4. Five foods I can’t stand
- rabbit
- seafood
- wildbirds - duck, goose, etc
- hot peppers
- Kraft Dinner

5. Five reasons to visit iScrap!
- talented members
- tutorial section
- store locator
- events information
- gallery
