Hmmm...this looks interesting...

They are issuing genealogy challenges at Hummie's World, a digital scrapbooking board that I recently discovered. The idea is to scrap a generation of direct lineage each week. Though the challenge is issued on a digital board the challenges could just as easily be done with paper, if you are so inclined. I'm thinking I may give these challenges a try, though I haven't decided yet if I'll go paper or digi.

In this section of the board there are links to digi kits that could be used for this. If you decided to go with paper you could print papers and elements from these kits and actually end up with hybrid pages.

The challenge for this week is to do a page about your parents and include their names, dates of birth, and anniversary. Included on the board are some ideas on how to organize and plan beyond just that page.

I hope I go beyond thinking about doing this and actually get down to doing it. It might help motivate me if I knew others were joining in. If you decide to give it a try please let me know.

What a neat idea! I actually did a layout with my parents wedding picture, although it's not finished. I also am working on a two-page LO of their courtship and engagement. It's really neat working with these old pictures!
